I was alone, I took a ride,
I didn’t know what I would find there
Another road where maybe I could see another kind of mind there
Ooh, then I suddenly see you,
Ooh, did I tell you I need you
Every single day of my life
You didn’t run, you didn’t lie
You knew I wanted just to hold you
And had you gone you knew in time we’d meet again
For I had told you
Ooh, you were meant to be near me
Ooh, and I want you hear me
Say we’ll be together every day
Got to get you into my life
What can I do, what can I be,
When I’m with you I want to stay there
If I’m true I’ll never leave
And if I do I know the way there
Ooh, then I suddenly see you,
Ooh, did I tell you I need you
Every single day of my life
Got to get you into my life
Got to get you into my life
I was alone, I took a ride,
I didn’t know what I would find there
Another road where maybe I could see another kind of mind there
Then suddenly I see you,
Did I tell you I need you…
Under the leadership of Dr. Copeland, chief of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery and co-director of the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center, University Medical Center in 1985 marked the first use in the world of a total artificial heart, the “Phoenix Heart,” as a “bridge to transplant.” this is from the “book of walls” series..scanned from a slide taken at the UA tennis courts where outside of surgery he spent time. he was a very quiet and unassuming man. though he was probably one of the more difficult to work with because he seemed like he’d really rather be either playing tennis or back in the hospital! it took a lot to get him to smile!! this is in june of 1985…he still works today saving countless lives of children and adults. |

I don’t like you
But I love you
See that I’m always
Thinking of you
Oh, oh, oh,
You treat me badly
I love you madly
You’ve really got a hold on me
You’ve really got a hold on me, baby
I don’t want you,
But I need you
Don’t want to kiss you
But I need you
Oh, oh, oh
You do me wring now
My love is strong now
You’ve really got a hold on me
You’ve really got a hold on me, baby
I love you and all I want you to do
Is just hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me
I want to leave you
Don’t want to stay here
Don’t want to spend
Another day here
Oh, oh, oh, I want to split now
I just can quit now
You’ve really got a hold on me
You’ve really got a hold on me, baby
I love you and all I want you to do
Is just hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me
You’ve really got a hold on me
You’ve really got a hold on me
this is taken at Notable, a sandblasting shop located way out by TEP, here in tucson. his yard is full of stuff that seem like treasures to me! this particular car i was eyeing is a project of his son’s. he made me chuckle in his passion for this car he said ” i got it running yesterday, but it ran out of gas”…mind you, the other side is missing a tire and parts are still missing from the engine!! oh sweet love!

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out
It was a beautiful day
Don’t let it get away
Beautiful day
not the Beatles this time..since it’s St Patricks day i thought it more fitting to use the great Irish band U2! AND it is a beautiful day…don’t let it get away….enjoy your moments wisely.

Can’t buy me love, love
Can’t buy me love
I’ll buy you a diamond ring my friend if it makes you feel alright
I’ll get you anything my friend if it makes you feel alright
‘Cause I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy me love
I’ll give you all I got to give if you say you love me too
I may not have a lot to give but what I got I’ll give to you
I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy me love
Can’t buy me love, everybody tells me so
Can’t buy me love, no no no, no
Say you don’t need no diamond ring and I’ll be satisfied
Tell me that you want the kind of thing that money just can’t buy
I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy me love
true..money cannot buy love, but sometimes a cheeseburger and fries does make life a little sweeter!

Love, Love, Love.
Love, Love, Love.
Love, Love, Love.
There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.
It’s easy.
Nothing you can make that can’t be made.
No one you can save that can’t be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time.
It’s easy.
All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.
All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.
Nothing you can know that isn’t known.
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be.
It’s easy.
All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.
All you need is love (All together, now!)
All you need is love. (Everybody!)
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need (love is all you need).
Yee-hai!
Oh yeah!
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah.
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah.

There is a place,
Where I can go,
When I feel low,
When I feel blue.
And it’s my mind,
And there’s no time when I’m alone.
I think of you,
And things you do,
Go ’round my head,
The things you said,
Like “I love only you.”
In my mind there’s no sorrow,
Don’t you know that it’s so.
There’ll be no sad tomorrow,
Don’t you know that it’s so.
There is a place,
Where I can go,
When I feel low,
When I feel blue.
And it’s my mind,
And there’s no time when I’m alone.
There’s a place…

The best things in life are free
But you can tell me ’bout the birds and bees.
Now gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want, ye-ye-yeh,
That’s what I want.
Money don’t get everything it’s true.
What it don’t get I can’t use.
So gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
A little money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want, ye-ye-yeh,
That’s what I want.
Yeh gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
A little money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want THAT’S WHAT I WANT
So gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want, ye-ye-yeh,
That’s what I want.
Your lovin’ give me a thrill
But your lovin’ don’t pay my bill.
Now gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want, ye-ye-yeh,
That’s what I want.
Money don’t get everything it’s true.
What it don’t get I can’t use.
So gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
A little money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want, ye-ye-yeh,
That’s what I want.
Yeh gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
A little money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want THAT’S WHAT I WANT
So gimme money THAT’S WHAT I WANT
That’s what I want, ye-ye-yeh,
That’s what I want.
this is taken at Dinnerware gallery in Tucson. it has moved several times over the years and moved again to this location on 6th and Stone. probably the smallest venue in its history. sadly, it is struggling like most galleries. the interesting note is that many moons ago i joined this collective group of artists whom supported the gallery through membership. it was once a premier gallery for up and coming artists, today anyone can show their work, no membership base, no politics…bare bones. i never got to show my works thru Dinnerware because i had to pay my dues in diligence, time and money…all of which no longer is the rule! funny how karma works!

Asked a girl what she wanted to be
She said baby, can’t you see
I wanna be famous, a star on the screen
But you can do something in between
Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I’ll love you
I told a girl that my prospects were good
And she said baby, it’s understood
Working for peanuts is all very fine
But I can show you a better time
Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I’ll love you
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I’ll love you
I told the girl I could start right away
And she said listen to me I got something to say
I got no car and it’s breaking my heart
But I’ve found a driver and that’s a start
Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I’ll love you
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
sitting in my car waiting…waiting…waiting…perfect opportunity for meditation! then i noticed the red light flashing “the car with a key” do you know how hard it is to take a photo of something flashing? aaaahhhh.. the simple things in life.

I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me.
She showed me her room, isn’t it good, norwegian wood?
She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere,
So I looked around and I noticed there wasn’t a chair.
I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine.
We talked until two and then she said, “It’s time for bed”.
She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh.
I told her I didn’t and crawled off to sleep in the bath.
And when I awoke I was alone, this bird had flown.
So I lit a fire, isn’t it good, norwegian wood.
