Nowhere Man

008/365

nowhere man

He’s a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn’t kave a point of view,
Knows not where he’s going to,
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don’t know what you’re missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He’s as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Doesn’t kave a point of view,
Knows not where he’s going to,
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, don’t worry,
Take your time, don’t hurry,
Leave it all till somebody else
lend you a hand.

He’s a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

this is a Tucson icon, been there since i can recall as a small girl growing up here. and yes, he is a bit like us!! we “think” we know where we are going, what we are doing, what we want….but as soon as we get there or get the object of desire we go looking again for another desire or want. as a human being all we ever do is “want” and we’re blind to what we see! driving to this spot i heard on the radio the Rolling Stones playing “You can’t always get what you want…” “and if you just try, ya just might find, ya get what ya need”..how poetic!! find your happiness within because you’ll never find it outside of yourself.
